Louisiana Hosts Historic Pickleball Event: The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) is making history in Louisiana with its first-ever tournament in the state. The Baton Rouge PPA Challenger is set to take place this weekend at Stacks Pickleball, located at 9550 Dawnadele Avenue, Suite B. The event is part of the PPA Tour Challenger series, designed to develop emerging talent in the sport.

The tournament will span three days, featuring different categories of play. Men’s and women’s singles matches will take place on Friday, followed by gender doubles on Saturday. The event will conclude on Sunday with mixed doubles competitions.

A Boost for the Local Economy

The Baton Rouge PPA Challenger is expected to generate approximately $800,000 in local revenue. With players, fans, and their families traveling to the area, businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and retail stores are expected to benefit from the influx of visitors.

All professional and amateur players will receive a grounds pass as part of their registration fee. Additionally, $15 grounds passes will be available for purchase by spectators, allowing friends, family, and fans to attend the event.
