Strong Start Sets the Tone
Fahey, the No. 2 seed, opened the first game with a quick 7-2 lead. Though Devidze battled back and briefly went ahead 9-8, Fahey responded after a timeout. She won three straight points to close out the game 11-9.
The second game saw Fahey take early control again. Her smart shot placement and aggressive movement up to the kitchen line gave her a 6-1 advantage. Though Devidze narrowed the gap to 6-4, Fahey stopped the run with a highlight-worthy running forehand winner.

Key Moment Helps Seal the Match
The momentum-shifting point helped Fahey regain command and finish off the match strong.
“Salome is a really tough opponent. She hits some incredible shots, and even when you’re winning by a lot, she can always come back,”. “That shot really gave me the confidence to keep going for my shots, and I think I finished that match really strong.”(Kate Fahey)
One Win Away from the Title
With the win, Fahey moves into Sunday’s final where she will face Parris Todd. The Charlotte, North Carolina resident looks to carry her strong form into the title match as she chases a major victory.
If she plays with the same focus and energy, Fahey could be hard to stop in the final.
