A Comeback in Game 1
The Johnsons were down 7-9 in the first game but stayed calm and scored four points in a row. That late push helped them win the opener 11-9 and take the early lead in the match.
The win didn’t come easy. Dizon and Daescu, seeded No. 10, kept fighting throughout and pushed the Johnsons to the limit.

Closing Out Game 2
In the second game, Jorja and JW led 10-4 but had trouble finishing. Dizon and Daescu saved six match points, cutting the lead to 8-10. On the seventh match point, the Johnsons finally closed the match.
Afterward, Jorja shared how she kept her focus.
“I just looked at JW and told him that it’s gonna be this one. I said it after every point, so it probably got old, but you’ve just gotta believe that that’s the one you’re gonna close it out on,” she mentioned.(Andrei Daescu)
Championship Match Set
The win sends the sibling duo to Sunday’s gold medal match against top seeds Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns. The two teams will battle for the championship at Cary Tennis Park.
