Fashion Statements From the Pros

At the 2025 CIBC Texas Open, pro player Jorja Johnson wore a bubble hem skirt, a new trend featuring a rounded, gathered hemline. Though this style can be tricky, Johnson made it work on the court.

Brands like Wiskii, Aerie, Free People, and Abercrombie’s athletic line, Your Personal Best, have adopted this trend.

Matching sets in butter yellow were another standout at the Texas Open. Tyra Black and Parris Todd wore matching Alo outfits in this cheerful shade and went on to win gold in doubles.

Color Trends on and off the Court

Light pink is also making waves this season. The pastel tone is softer than last summer’s bold Barbie pink. Anna Leigh Waters wore a new FILA set in a rose-toned pink.

Jorja Johnson and JW Johnson matched in baby pink at the 2025 Carvana Mesa Cup, while Black and Todd leaned toward a bubble gum pink. Despite the range of shades, pink remains a favorite.

A final standout color is emerald green. Unlike the pastels, this green is bold and eye-catching. Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns paired it with yellow accents in mixed doubles.

Though not a fan of neon, the correspondent acknowledged the strong visual impact of these colors.

Zippers and Sporty Elegance

Zipper details are rising in popularity, especially in both men’s and women’s fashion. At the 2025 Veolia Cape Coral Open, male pros like Michael Loyd, Noe Khlif, and Martin Emmrich wore T-shirts with zippers on the collar.

Stack* athletics is one brand offering stylish zip tees for men. For women, zipper accents appear on long-sleeve tennis dresses. At the 2025 Zimmer Biomet The Masters, Johnson and Black wore matching white dresses from 11NIL featuring front zippers.

Flattering Corset-inspired Looks

One of the most feminine trends this season is corset and bodice detailing. Dresses from 11NIL are gaining popularity for their figure-flattering shapes made from athletic materials.

Athletic brands are now using spandex and polyester to recreate corset silhouettes, once reserved for formal wear.

This mix of off-court trends blending with athletic wear highlights the creative shift in pickleball fashion.

Fashion’s Role in the Future of Pickleball

This spring’s fashion trends reflect pickleball’s growing influence beyond just sports. The rise of stylish, functional athletic wear may inspire more players to express themselves on the court.

As new collections launch and pros continue to set the tone, these trends may shape how players of all levels dress for play. Fashion is becoming part of the game—and fans are here for it.
