Thrilling Showdowns Upcoming as Top Teams Clash in 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships Women’s Doubles Draw

Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships Women’s Doubles Draw: The women’s doubles draw for the 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships was revealed during a special show hosted by Dave Fleming. The event starts soon in Atlanta, with top teams like Rachel Rohrabacher and Catherine Parenteau and Anna Leigh Waters, and Anna Bright set to face tough competition. The show also outlined exciting possible matchups and new partnerships.

Rohrabacher and Parenteau Are Top Seeds

Rachel Rohrabacher and Catherine Parenteau earned the number one seed. They are just 100 points ahead of Anna Leigh Waters and Anna Bright in the rankings. Their projected path to the final includes a round of 16 match against the Walker Sisters.

In the quarterfinals, they may face Jessie Irvine and Lacy Schneemann, a strong and experienced team. “That is a very good team. Watch out for them potentially in the quarterfinal,” Dave Fleming said.

In the semifinals, they could meet Jade Kawamoto and Jorja Johnson. Kawamoto made the final at this event last year, but this new pairing has not played together before. “They were dealt a tough card, these two. Let’s see how they deal with it. And ironically, are the number one seed,” Fleming noted.

Anna Leigh Waters and Anna Bright Hold Second Seed

The second seed is Anna Leigh Waters and Anna Bright. This team formed after Anna Leigh Waters ended her partnership with Catherine Parenteau and called Anna Bright. “Anna Bright then, RIP girlies. That’s what happened,” Fleming said.

Their first match is against Layne Sleeth and Andrea Koop. “Koop played great here last year,” Fleming added. In the quarterfinals, they could play Callie Jo Smith and Allyce Jones, who are the fifth seed and known as experienced players from Utah.

If they make the semifinals, they could meet Hurricane Tyra Black and Parris Todd. “All Hurricane Tyra Black and Parris Todd have done this year is win,” Fleming emphasized. This matchup could be one of the most exciting of the event.

Full Draw Breakdown

The full draw shows many strong teams and interesting combinations. At the top, Parenteau and Rohrabacher lead the bracket. Irvine and Schneemann, along with Mary Brascia and Maggie Brascia, are strong contenders. “Congratulations, Maggie Brascia just graduated from college. So she’s got that behind her. That’s a big accomplishment. Way to go, Maggie Brascia,” Fleming shared.

The fourth seed is Jade Kawamoto and Jackie Kawamoto. Kaitlyn Christian will team up with Milan Rane. Samantha Parker, who plays for the Orlando Squeeze, is partnered with Genie Erokhina and has been in strong form lately.

Other teams include Lucy Kovalova and Lea Jansen, and Kate Fahey and Tina Pisnik. Fahey and Pisnik have been close to beating top teams. “Let’s see how they do. That’s a nine seed you do not want to play over here,” Fleming warned.

On the other side of the draw, Waters and Bright are set for a challenging route. Smith and Jones are nearby, with Vivienne David and Etta Tuionetoa as the tenth seed. “That sounds like a very dangerous team playing together for the first time,” Fleming observed.

They had entered a past tournament but withdrew due to injury. Black and Todd are expected to be serious threats. Mari Humberg and Meghan Dizon are the eighth seed, while Zoey Wang and Brooke Buckner, seeded twelfth, bring a lot of playing time together into the mix.

What Comes Next

All eyes are now on the women’s doubles matches. With the top two seeded teams formed from recent breakups, fans are eager to see if they will meet in the finals. “Do we get the breakup Sunday showdown? Do the one and two hold up their end of the bargain? We shall see,” Dave Fleming said, building excitement for the tournament.
