Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio Set for Intense Battles at 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships After Dramatic Comebacks

Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio Set for Intense Battles: Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio, along with Milan Rane and Eric Oncins, both earned three-game wins on Tuesday afternoon to move into the mixed doubles Round of 32 at the 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships presented by Ensure Max Protein. They will now face each other on Wednesday for a place in the Round of 16.

Strong Comebacks Power Both Teams

The mixed doubles matches took place at Life Time Peachtree Corners, where both winning teams needed three games to advance.

Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio, the No. 8 seeds, dropped the first game against Hannah Blatt and Yuta Funemizu, who were seeded No. 58. But Irvine and Tardio quickly bounced back, dominating the next two games to win 8-11, 11-1, 11-4.

Milan Rane and Eric Oncins also fought back after losing their opening game. Seeded No. 28, they defeated No. 37 seeds Tamaryn Emmrich and Michael Loyd with a 7-11, 11-5, 11-2 victory.

Wednesday Showdown Set

Both winning pairs now prepare to face each other in the next round. The match between Jessie Irvine and Gabe Tardio versus Milan Rane and Eric Oncins will determine who moves into the Round of 16.
