Collin Johns and James Ignatowich Execute Incredible Comeback to Reach 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships Quarterfinals

Collin Johns and James Ignatowich won their men’s doubles match on Thursday at the 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships held at Life Time Peachtree Corners. They defeated No. 11 seeds Quang Duong and Hunter Johnson 3-11, 11-2, 11-9 to reach the quarterfinals.

Tight Match with a Strong Finish

The match saw both teams winning one of the first two games by similar scores. In the final game, Johns and Ignatowich started strong, gaining a 4-1 lead.

However, Quang Duong and Hunter Johnson fought back with an 8-1 run to take a 9-5 lead. Despite this, Johns and Ignatowich rallied and scored the last six points to secure the win after nearly one hour on court.

Upcoming Challenge

Johns and Ignatowich will now face the No. 4 seeds Dekel Bar and Dylan Frazier on Friday. The winner will move on to the semifinals, raising the stakes in this tightly contested tournament.
