They beat No. 10 seeds Kate Fahey and Hayden Patriquin 16-14, 5-11, 12-10. This win moves them into the quarterfinals, where they will face the top seeds Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns on Friday.
Comeback and Long Rally in First Game
Bright and Duong were behind 4-10 and faced six game points in the first game. Despite the odds, they fought back to tie the score at 10-10. After a long and exciting battle lasting nearly 40 minutes, they won the first game 16-14. Fahey and Patriquin did not give up, winning the second game 11-5 to push the match to a deciding third game.

Exciting Final Game and Team Rivalry
In the third game, Bright and Duong quickly took a 6-1 lead, but Fahey and Patriquin battled back to tie 9-9. Bright and Duong scored the final points to win the match after over 90 minutes of play. All four players are members of the St. Louis Shock team, making the match even more special.
“It was definitely a match that all of us were very excited for. I was texting with Hayden and Kate last night and talking some trash this morning, too. Even during the match, Hayden would chirp and we’d kind of smile at each other, but once it got to Game 3, it was all serious.” – (bright)
