Waters and Ben Johns, the No. 1 seeds, beat Anna Bright and Quang Duong in straight games. They won the first game 11-3 and came back late in the second game to close it 11-8.
Anna Bright and Quang Duong had an 8-7 lead in the second game and looked ready to force a third. But Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns scored four points in a row to finish the match. Later in the day, Anna Leigh Waters returned to the court to compete in women’s doubles.

Texas Ranchers Duo Prevails
In the other quarterfinal, Etta Tuionetoa and Christian Alshon earned a three-game win over Rachel Rohrabacher and Dekel Bar. The No. 4 seeded team lost the first game 8-11 but came back to win the next two, 11-8 and 11-5.
