Anna Leigh Waters Extends Unbeaten Pickleball Streak: Anna Leigh Waters moved into the women’s singles final at the 2025 Veolia Atlanta Pickleball Championships after a straight-game win over Parris Todd on Semifinal Saturday, May 17, 2025. The top seed, Waters, beat the No. 4 seed 11-2, 11-9 at Life Time in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. She will play second-seeded Kate Fahey in the championship match.
Waters Dominates Early, Holds On Late
Anna Leigh Waters quickly took control of the match, winning the first game 11-2 in less than ten minutes. She built a 6-1 lead in the second game before Parris Todd found her rhythm. Todd responded with an 8-1 run to go ahead 9-7.
But Waters stayed calm and scored four straight points to close the match. It was another strong performance for the 18-year-old, who has not lost a singles match since May 30, 2024, when she fell to Salome Devidze.

Training Focus Pays Off for Waters
After her win, Anna Leigh Waters explained what’s helped her stay unbeaten for nearly a year.
“I feel like before my forehand was maybe a bit weaker than my backhand, and I’ve spent a lot of time just working on that and hitting so many forehands. Now I think I might like my forehand more than my backhand. I also think I’ve gotten stronger and quicker, just physically. I’ve really been working in the gym and training a lot.” – (Waters)
Waters’ strong gym work and skill development are showing on the court. She has been nearly untouchable in singles, and her improvements are helping her stay on top.
Looking Ahead to the Final
Anna Leigh Waters will face Kate Fahey in the final. Fahey is the No. 2 seed in the tournament and has played well all week. The championship match will be a battle between the top two seeds. Waters is aiming to continue her winning streak, while Fahey looks to stop it.
