The 2025 Nevada Amateur Pickleball Championships, powered by the Carvana PPA Tour and Pickleball Is Great, will take place from June 20 to June 22 at The Picklr Henderson in Henderson, Nevada. This indoor tournament is part of a 50-state series to find the top amateur players in the country.
The event is now being held indoors at The Picklr Henderson, located at 1450 West Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 435. The registration fee was $95. Although registration is now closed, the tournament is expected to attract players of all skill levels and age groups.
Part of a Nationwide Championship Series
This event is one piece of the “Amateur Pickleball State Championship Series,” a competition taking place in all 50 states. It’s powered by the Carvana PPA Tour and gives players a chance to compete locally with the hope of qualifying for a national tournament.
Players who win gold in their skill division at any state championship will receive a free entry to the 2025 World Championships in Dallas, Texas. These players will compete in the Champions Division at the national event.
Daily Schedule and Match Format
The tournament schedule is split over three days:
June 20 (Friday): Women’s Doubles and Men’s Singles
June 21 (Saturday): Mixed Doubles
June 22 (Sunday): Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles
All matches will be round-robin style, followed by playoffs for gold, silver, and bronze. Games are played “win by two.” Most matches are first to 15 points. For larger brackets with 7 or 8 teams, matches may go to 11 points instead.
Playoff formats include:
Top four teams move to playoffs
Lead-in matches to 15 points
Gold matches can be either best 2-of-3 to 11 or one game to 15
Bronze matches are one game to 15
Tournament officials may combine brackets if needed to ensure balanced competition. Events may close early if maximum daily entries are reached, even if registration appears open.
A Stepping Stone to Bigger Competition
Players will compete using their DUPR ratings, a system that tracks player performance. Winners from this Nevada tournament will have the chance to test their skills against the nation’s best at the year-end World Championships.
The event promotes inclusion, skill development, and friendship among pickleball players, no matter their level. For Nevada’s players, it’s a chance to shine and possibly earn a place on the national stage.
