Junior U16 Pickleball Champions Veolia Bristol: Ella Cosma and Hridhay P won gold medals in the Junior U16 singles finals at the 2025 Veolia Bristol Open on Wednesday. The tournament, part of the PPA Tour, was held in Bristol and featured strong performances from top junior players across both girls’ and boys’ divisions.

Ella Cosma Captures Girls U16 Title

Ella Cosma claimed the championship in the Junior Girls Singles U16 final after a close three-game match against Elsie Hendershot. Cosma won the first game 11-7, lost the second 0-11, and bounced back to win the third 11-8.

The match showed Cosma’s resilience. After a tough second game, she reset and pushed forward to take the final game and the title.

In the bronze medal match, Caroline Maguire defeated Amanda Sofia Diaz Velazquez in straight games. Maguire played with consistency, winning 11-9 and 11-9 to take third place.

Hridhay P Earns Boys U16 Gold

Hridhay P came out on top in the Junior Boys Singles U16 final after a strong three-game match against Ford C. Hridhay P won the first game 11-1, dropped the second 5-11, and dominated the third 11-1.

Hridhay P showed control and power, adjusting well after the second game loss. His aggressive play helped him seal the win.

In the bronze medal match, Andrew Angulo defeated Boone C in straight games, winning 11-0 and 11-5. Angulo maintained control throughout the match and never gave his opponent a chance to recover.

The Bigger Picture

The Junior U16 finals at the Veolia Bristol Open revealed some of the brightest young talents in pickleball. Both Ella Cosma and Hridhay P proved they can stay focused under pressure. With their wins, they move one step closer to joining higher levels of competition in future PPA Tour events.
