The PPA Tour Asia MB Vietnam Open 2025 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from September 4 to September 7, bringing some of the best women’s doubles pickleball players together. The event featured intense quarterfinal matches, with athletes from the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, China, and Vietnam competing for a place in the later rounds.

Standout Performances in Women’s Doubles

In one of the most competitive matches, Lauren Mercado of the United States and Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall advanced after a tough three-game battle. They defeated Hsiang Wen Huang from Taiwan and Kaitlynn Hart from Australia with scores of 9-11, 12-10, and 11-4.

Australian players also found success in the women’s doubles draw. Danni-elle Townsend and Nicola Schoeman, both representing Australia, secured a convincing win against Sahra Dennehy of Australia and Aiko Yoshitomi of Japan. They dominated the quarterfinal, winning in straight games, 11-1 and 11-7.

More Teams Move Forward

Another standout team, Sarah Burr from Australia and Jamie Haas from the United States, pushed through a tough quarterfinal. They defeated Pei-chuan Kao from Taiwan and Sophia Phuong Anh Tran Jr. from Vietnam. The final scores were 8-11, 11-2, and 12-10, showing their resilience in a hard-fought three-game set.

American players also continued to shine. Alix Truong and Meghan Dizon, both from the United States, overcame Yufei Long from China and Ting Chieh Wei from Taiwan. They won their match in straight games, finishing 11-8 and 11-7.
