He defeated fellow Vietnamese player Hoang Nam Ly in straight games, 11-5, 11-1, to claim the title on home soil.

A Hero’s Victory

The triumph was especially sweet for Phuc Huynh, who earned a silver medal just a week earlier at the tournament in Fukuoka. This time, he climbed higher on the podium with a dominant performance.

Phuc Huynh controlled the match from the opening serve, keeping the pressure on Hoang Nam Ly throughout. After securing match point, he lifted his arms toward the cheering crowd, signaling that this was “Vietnam’s court – and Vietnam’s moment.”
