2025 South Carolina Pickleball Championships: The 2025 South Carolina Pickleball Championships, powered by the Carvana PPA Tour and Southern Pickleball, will be held from September 19–21, 2025, at Litchfield Pickleball in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Winners will qualify for discounts or free entry into the 2025 World Championships in Dallas, Texas.
Event Overview
Registration ends on September 14, 2025, at 11:55 p.m. EST. The entry fee is $95, with a detailed fee schedule available. Medalists from the South Carolina event will also earn spots in the 2025/26 Southern Championships, set for December 31, 2025, to January 4, 2026, at Rhythm and Rally Sports and Events in Macon, Georgia—the world’s largest indoor pickleball facility.
Gold medalists will receive free entry into the World Championships, silver medalists will get 50% discounted entry, and bronze medalists will receive 25% off.
Divisions and Competition Format
The tournament will feature men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles across skill levels from 3.0 to 5.0. Age brackets include 8–34, 35–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
All teams are guaranteed four matches. Smaller brackets of seven or fewer teams will use round-robin play followed by medal matches. Larger brackets may use pools with top teams advancing. If brackets are too small, they may be combined, but medals will still be awarded based on the original division.
Schedule of Play
Friday, September 19: Men’s and women’s doubles (50+, 60+, 70+)
Saturday, September 20: Mixed doubles (8+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 70+)
Sunday, September 21: Men’s and women’s doubles (8+, 35+)
Matches will begin as early as 8:00 a.m. daily. Final start times will be emailed to players about one week before the tournament.
Registration and Rules
The $80 base registration fee covers two events. A third event costs $40 extra. A $5 per-event service fee (not more than $10 total per player) applies. Registrations after September 7, 2025, will add a $15 late fee and will not include a free tournament shirt.
Players must compete at the skill level of the higher-rated teammate and the age of the younger teammate. DUPR ratings will be used, and tournament directors can adjust placements if needed. Matches will be self-monitored unless referees are requested.
Refund Policy
The withdrawal deadline is August 31, 2025. Refunds before this date will be issued minus a $20 administrative fee. After August 31, refunds will only be available to players who purchased weather or injury insurance. Insurance covers cancellations due to weather, injury, or family emergencies.
