Women’s Singles

Top seed Anna Leigh Waters will meet seventh seed Catherine Parenteau. Both advanced without dropping a game, though Catherine Parenteau moved on after Parris Todd withdrew before their quarterfinal. This will be the third time this year that Waters and Parenteau, former doubles partners, meet on the singles court.

The other semifinal features second seed Kate Fahey against sixth seed Lea Jansen. Both players have been strong this week, and a spot in the championship match is on the line.

Men’s Singles

Top seed Hunter Johnson faces sixth seed Christian Alshon. The two have met twice already this season. Hunter Johnson won their battle in Tucson, while Christian Alshon claimed victory in Bristol.

In the other match, 57th-ranked Christopher Haworth goes up against third seed Connor Garnett. The ranking is misleading, as Christopher Haworth only joined the PPA Tour in August. Saturday will be the third time Haworth and Garnett have faced each other.

Mixed Doubles

In the mixed draw, top seeds Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns take on seventh seeds Jessie Irvine and Gabriel Tardio.

The second semifinal pairs Jorja Johnson and JW Johnson, the second seeds, against Anna Bright and Andrei Daescu, the fourth seeds.

Women’s Doubles

The women’s doubles semifinals feature several familiar names. Top seeds Anna Leigh Waters and Anna Bright will challenge sixth seeds Jackie Kawamoto and Jade Kawamoto. It will be the first meeting between these two partnerships. Waters and Bright have been dominant in Cincinnati and are looking to bounce back after a rare loss together in Las Vegas.

The second semifinal sees Catherine Parenteau and Parris Todd, the second seeds, against Jorja Johnson and Tyra Black, the fourth seeds. This is a rematch of the Las Vegas final, which Jorja Johnson and Tyra Black won in four games. Parris Todd, however, withdrew from her singles quarterfinal Friday because of illness, which may affect her play.

Men’s Doubles

In men’s doubles, top seeds Ben Johns and Gabriel Tardio face fourth seeds JW Johnson and CJ Klinger. These teams have split their two prior meetings, with Johnson and Klinger winning the latest clash in the Atlanta Open final. CJ Klinger’s left-handed play was the difference-maker in that match.

The other semifinal puts second seeds Federico Staksrud and Hayden Patriquin against third seeds Christian Alshon and Andrei Daescu. Both teams have played strong pickleball to advance, setting up a tight contest.

What Comes Next

Saturday’s semifinals will decide who advances to championship Sunday. With top seeds, rising stars, and recent rivals clashing, the day promises high drama and tough battles across all five pro divisions. Fans can expect close games, rematches, and possible upsets as the Cincinnati showcase moves into its final stages.
