Adjusting to Old-School Play
Dylan Frazier shared his thoughts on returning to action with his longtime teammate.
“I think we’ve got really great chemistry, and we still practice together a lot in Florida, so we just picked up right where we left off,” (Dylan Frazier).
He also reflected on the unique challenge of the tournament’s wooden paddle requirement.
“I feel like I’m back in 2016 playing pickleball again. It changed the game and changed the strategy a bit, so it was fun to make adjustments. We were kind of learning as we went.”(Dylan Frazier)
What Lies Ahead
Despite their successful reunion, JW Johnson and Dylan Frazier will not remain partners for long. They are set to face each other later Sunday in the mixed doubles final, where they will compete as opponents for another championship.
