Pros, Amateurs, and Big Prizes: What Awaits at the PPA Tour Fasenra Virginia Beach Cup 2025?

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour will host the Fasenra Virginia Beach Cup presented by Joola from October 6 to October 12, 2025, at Pickleball Virginia Beach, 928 S Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Registration costs $125 and closes on October 4, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. EST. The tournament will feature both professional and amateur players competing on the same courts.

Play for Pros and Amateurs

Amateur players will have a chance to compete alongside professionals on the same courts used for Championship matches. All matches will be streamed live and saved on the PPA YouTube channel. For fans, the event will bring top professionals such as Anna Leigh Waters, the world’s top-ranked female player, and Ben Johns, the top-ranked male player.

PPA Tour Camp Opportunity

A two-day camp will be held on October 7 and 8 for 3.0 and 4.0 level players. The camp runs from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. each day, costing $400 per person. Participants will receive six hours of instruction from professionals, one courtside ticket for a day of their choice, and discounts on apparel and paddles. The camp has a strict refund policy depending on when cancellations are made.

Competition Formats

Amateur divisions will follow skill and age-based formats.

  • Higher levels such as 4.5 and 5.0 will use double elimination.

  • Lower levels like 3.0 to 4.0 may play round robins or pool play depending on the number of teams.

  • Medal matches will follow standard formats, with finals typically best two out of three games to 11 points.

Junior divisions will adjust formats based on the number of teams, using either double elimination or round robin play. Senior divisions will also follow a double elimination format unless fewer teams register, in which case round robins will be used.

Professional events will begin with qualifying rounds on October 6. Players ranked in the top 50 or holding Gold Card status will earn automatic spots in the main draw. Matches will run daily through the week, with medal rounds scheduled for Sunday, October 12, 2025. Gold medal matches for doubles will be best three out of five games, while singles will be best two out of three.

Money Ball Bracket

The $1,000 Money Ball bracket will also be held. This coed competition is open to players rated below 6.0, excluding contracted PPA professionals. Registration costs $75, and the bracket will follow a double elimination format. Prize payouts are set at $600 for first place and $400 for second.

Player Guidelines

Players must follow the PPA Player’s Code of Conduct and the Junior PPA Tour Code of Conduct. Policies also cover referees, volunteers, and participation guidelines, including transgender competition rules. Players must have paid partners registered within seven days, or they will be placed on a waitlist.

Refunds are only available until September 8, 2025, minus a $25 fee. After that date, refunds are only possible with the Registration and Weather Insurance Policy.
