- Hardest Overhead: Players would smash overheads from slow lob feeds, with the fastest overhead measured using a radar gun.
- Quickest Mover: An agility test similar to the NFL Combine would be conducted, with two attempts per player to record the fastest time.
Day 2 – Round Robin Games in Pods:
Players would rank their preferred pods, with priority given to those with higher PPA Race Points. Each pod would consist of 16 players, divided into groups of four, competing in a round-robin format. Games would use rally scoring to 15, with a win by one rule. The top eight players from each pod would advance to the second round, with the top four moving on to the championship.
- Pod 1: Wooden Paddles: All participants would use the same wooden paddle provided by the PPA.
- Pod 2: Extended Net Posts: Nets would be extended by one foot on each side.
