Event Format
MLPlay Format: The Dink Minor League Pickleball format is a unique team-based event featuring four 21-point games per match:
- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Two Mixed Doubles
Dreambreaker: If a match ends in a 2-2 tie, teams enter a Dreambreaker™. In this tiebreaker, one player from each team competes in singles, rotating every four rallies until one player reaches 21 points with a two-point lead.
DUPR Divisions
- DUPR 20: Aggregate team DUPR must not exceed 20.99
- DUPR 18: Aggregate team DUPR must not exceed 18.30
- DUPR 16: Aggregate team DUPR must not exceed 16.30
- DUPR 14: Aggregate team DUPR must not exceed 14.30
- Max individual player DUPR: 4.10
- DUPR 12: Aggregate team DUPR must not exceed 12.30
- Max individual player DUPR: 3.60
Once registered, team ratings are locked, ensuring any changes in DUPR won’t affect division placement.
Registration & Requirements
- DUPR Account: Required for all participants. Estimated ratings will be verified for unrated players.
- Single Registrations: If registering individually but part of a team, specify your team name and DUPR division. The tournament director will attempt to place solo registrants on teams, and refunds will be provided if placement is not possible.
- Substitute Players: Substitutes can be added via Swish or by contacting the tournament organizer, provided they do not exceed the event’s DUPR aggregate limit.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation Deadline: Cancellations must be received by October 13, 2024, to receive a refund minus a $5 technology fee. No refunds will be provided after this date.
