Kansas City Hosts Dink MiLP Showdown: The Dink Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) event at Genesis HealthClub-Clayview in Kansas City, Missouri, is set to offer an exciting team-based pickleball experience with its unique MLPlay format. This amateur competition brings together male and female players for an innovative twist on traditional pickleball matchups.

Event Format
MLPlay Format: Teams consist of 4 players (2 women and 2 men) and compete in four 21-point games:
- Women’s Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Two Mixed Doubles
Dreambreaker: If the match is tied 2-2, teams will proceed to a Dreambreaker, where a player from each team competes in singles, switching every four rallies. The first player to reach 21 points with a two-point lead wins the tiebreaker.
DUPR Divisions
- DUPR 20: Aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99
- DUPR 18: Aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30 (Maximum individual player DUPR: 5.10)
- DUPR 16: Aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30 (Maximum individual player DUPR: 4.60)
- DUPR 14: Aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30 (Maximum individual player DUPR: 4.10)
- DUPR 12: Aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30 (Maximum individual player DUPR: 3.60)
Once registered, a team’s ratings are locked, and any changes in DUPR will not affect their division placement. A DUPR account is required for all players at the time of registration. Players who are not rated will have their estimated rating verified by the tournament director.
Registration & Requirements
DUPR Account: All participants must have a DUPR account and join the InPickle Nation DUPR Digital Club through the DUPR app.
Substitute Players: Teams can add substitutes by signing into Swish or by submitting the details to the tournament organizer. The substitute’s DUPR must not cause the team’s aggregate to exceed the limit for the event.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation Deadline: To receive a refund minus a $5 technology fee and 3% processing fee, cancellations must be made 15 days before the event. For example, if the event starts on June 15, 2024, cancellations must be received by 11:59 PM local time on June 1, 2024. No refunds will be issued after this date.
