The 5th Annual Humana Louisville Pickleball Cup, a UPA event is scheduled to take place from September 27-29, 2024, at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky. This eagerly awaited tournament is designed for players of all skill levels, offering a competitive environment in a charming setting. The event will also support FEAT of Louisville, an organization dedicated to aiding families affected by autism.
Kentucky State Qualifier
Participants who excel at the Humana Louisville Pickleball Cup will have the opportunity to qualify for the National Championships in Dallas, TX. Those who secure a top spot will receive either full or discounted registration fees for the national event, based on their performance. Tournament Details and Schedule
The tournament will feature outdoor round-robin matches in several categories:
- Friday (9 AM – 7 PM): Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Senior Doubles and Singles (50/60+)
- Saturday (9 AM – 7 PM): Men’s and Women’s Doubles
- Sunday (9 AM – 7 PM): Mixed Doubles, Men’s and Women’s Mixed Senior Doubles (50/60+)
Registration is set at $60, with an additional $10 event fee and a $5 PB service fee per event, capped at $10. These service fees are non-refundable if a participant withdraws from the tournament.
Additional Information
- Food and Drink: Complimentary snacks, water, and sports drinks will be provided. A food truck will be on-site at designated times, and there are numerous dining options in the vicinity.
- Format: The tournament will follow a Round Robin to Elimination Playoffs format, with at least 5 games to 11 or 4 games to 15 per event. Medal matches will be played to 15 or best 2 out of 3 games to 11, depending on the division and weather conditions.
- Brackets and Policies: Events may be merged by age or skill level based on the number of registrations. Players must have a registered and paid partner to be confirmed. Unpaid players will be waitlisted if spots fill up.
Refund Policy
Cancellations before September 12th will incur a $5 processing fee. Withdrawals after this date will result in a refund minus a $20 processing fee. Withdrawals past September 22nd will not be refunded, although injury-related withdrawals will be assessed individually.
Weather Policy
As an outdoor event, the tournament will proceed regardless of weather conditions. There are no refunds or credits for weather-related issues, and no indoor backup plans are currently available.
