Waters Reflects on Victory

In reflecting on the match, Waters shared her thoughts on the competitive dynamics of facing Devidze.

“It’s kind of cool to have some revenge, go out there, really want to win and maybe take a little pressure off yourself because she did beat me earlier in the year.” – (Waters)

She acknowledged the challenges posed by Devidze’s aggressive play.

“She’s a great player. You can’t underestimate her. That’s one reason I did lose to her earlier in the year, because I underestimated her a little bit too much. She came out here ripping balls. You’ve really got to be consistent and put some pace back into your ball because of how hard she hits it.” – (Waters)
