Kate Fahey: From Unknown to Top Contender

  • Jan. 1 Ranking: NR
  • Current ‘The Race’ Ranking: No. 5

Fahey’s rise in women’s singles has been one of the most remarkable of the year. Starting the season with no ranking, Fahey didn’t turn to pickleball full-time until May. Despite this, she made a significant impact on the tour.

Since August, Fahey has medaled in seven out of nine tournaments, including three golds. Her consistency and ability to perform on the big stage have propelled her into the top five.

Kaitlyn Christian: A Veteran Finding New Success

  • Jan. 1 Ranking: NR
  • Current ‘The Race’ Ranking: No. 7

Christian, a seasoned pickleball player with a history of professional medals from as early as 2018, has taken a full-time approach to the sport this year after her professional tennis career.

The result has been a strong campaign in 2024, with six medals to her name—three silvers and three bronzes. Her strong volleys and impressive coverage of the kitchen line have made her a consistent threat in every tournament.

Parris Todd: The Comeback Kid

  • Jan. 1 Ranking: NR
  • Current ‘The Race’ Ranking: No. 8

After a break from PPA singles draws since 2022, Todd returned to the court with a vengeance in 2024. Her comeback was highlighted by a silver medal at the fourth tournament of the year in Minnesota.

Known for her gritty defense and knack for making improbable passing shots on the run, Todd has claimed four more medals, establishing herself firmly within the top 10.
