“It’s the last tournament of the year, so I’m really going to be pushing through. I’m wearing a knee brace and playing singles. You haven’t seen me wear a knee brace and play singles in a while, so I’m really pushing through this tournament because I want to go out of the year strong.” – (Anna Leigh Waters)

Waters went on to discuss how the knee brace has been beneficial in supporting her play, acknowledging that it helps a lot. Despite the challenge, she is taking a match-by-match approach, staying optimistic for the rest of the tournament.
“It was just last week that I was realizing that I was going to need a brace to play in the tournament. The brace actually helps a lot. We’ll see. I’m kind of taking it match by match in singles and seeing how I feel. I’m hoping that I can continue to play singles for the whole week, but if it gets to a point where it’s too much, then I might have to call it quits.
