Dylan Frazier and Pablo Tellez Deliver an Outstanding Victory at 2024 CIBC PPA Tour Finals

Dylan Frazier and Pablo Tellez: Dylan Frazier and Pablo Tellez marked their first win as a partnership at the CIBC PPA Tour Finals with a hard-fought 11-8, 12-10 victory over Matt Wright and James Ignatowich. The win was crucial for both teams, as each had suffered a loss in their opening match during Wednesday’s pool play.

A New Partnership for Frazier

For just the third time this year on the PPA Tour, Frazier is not playing alongside his usual partner, JW Johnson. Teaming up with Tellez, Frazier shifted to the left side, a position not often seen in his men’s doubles play. Despite the challenges of adjusting to a new partner, Frazier expressed satisfaction with the process.

“It’s been really fun playing with Pablo so far. It’s our first time partnering together, so I think we’re just feeling it out a little bit. We were talking a lot yesterday and got a lot of rec games in, just to try and get as many reps as we could. I think we agree that we have to clean it up a little bit, but once we get to the kitchen line, we both feel pretty good.” – (Dylan Frazier)

Looking Ahead: A Must-Win Match for Frazier/Tellez

With a 1-1 record in the Erne Pool, Frazier and Tellez will face a crucial match against Federico Staksrud and Hayden Patriquin on Friday. A win will be necessary to keep their semifinal hopes alive.
