McGuffin Reflects on His Resurgence
“I don’t know what I’m doing right now, but I’m playing pretty freaking well. I’m not going to lie. I feel like I’m playing loose, I’m trusting myself. There’s a lot of passion there.” – (McGuffin)
He further revealed that the past six months had been challenging, physically and mentally, noting how he had lost some passion and suffered from injuries.
“I think the last six months or so, I lost a little passion. I lost a little interest, and I was a little banged up as well. But I had a couple of weeks off to kind of heal and recover, and I feel like a brand new man right now.” – (McGuffin)

While Garnett’s loss was a tough one, he still secured his spot in the semifinals, advancing alongside McGuffin despite the defeat.
