Setback in Game 2 for Johnson/Tardio
Although Johnson and Tardio dominated in Games 1 and 3, they faltered in Game 2, which Tardio attributes to a lack of aggression compared to the first and third games.
“I think we just stopped being aggressive. I kind of lost focus a little bit, but I think being aggressive was the main thing,” Tardio explained. “Thank God Julie Johnson was on our bench. She had some good things to say and gave us a couple of tips that helped us a lot.”
Looking Ahead to the Final
Johnson and Tardio will face Federico Staksrud and Hayden Patriquin in the final as they look to claim the gold medal at the PPA Tour’s CIBC Finals.
