Todd’s Comeback in Game 1

Todd faced an early deficit, trailing 2-7 in Game 1. However, she turned the match around with a dominant 9-1 run, taking the opening game 11-8. Todd’s ability to adjust her play after the early setback was key to her victory.

Momentum Carries Todd into Game 2

Todd carried that momentum into Game 2, where she never looked back. She won the second game comfortably, 11-5, earning a place in the final. A key factor in Todd’s success was her passing shots from the baseline, which countered Kaitlyn Christian’s aggressive approach at the kitchen line.

Todd Prepares for Anna Leigh Waters in the Final

Todd will face top seed Anna Leigh Waters in Sunday’s final. The two already met in pool play this week, with Waters securing a win by an 11-0, 11-7 scoreline. Despite the loss, Todd is feeling confident heading into the final, especially since she knows the court well.

“I got to play Anna Leigh this week already, so I’m a little warmed up and know what to do and am ready to be out here for Championship Sunday,” Todd said. “This is home for me, so it feels great to be in the final.”

Todd’s Past Victory Over Waters

Todd’s confidence is boosted by her previous win over Waters at the Life Time Rancho San Clemente in 2022 during the Select Medical Orange County Cup.

“It definitely gives me confidence going into it, since there are only a few of us who have actually beaten [Anna Leigh],” Todd shared. “She’s the best player in the world, but I’m always going to come out and give her a fight.”

Todd’s determination and history on the court will make for an exciting final matchup on Championship Sunday.
