USA Pickleball Serves Boosts Local Pickleball Growth with Grants for Equipment and Education

USA Pickleball Serves has announced the winners of its inaugural “Grow the Game” grant program. The grants will help 51 organizations across 27 states, providing equipment and resources to introduce and expand pickleball in local communities. This is a key effort to grow the sport nationwide.

Grant Program Details

The awarded groups will receive pickleball equipment bundles and educational materials to support their local communities. The initiative targets schools, community pickleball centers, and even five colleges and universities, to make pickleball more accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Brenda Puga, USA Pickleball’s director of community relations, shared the significance of the program.

“The Grow the Game grant program was created to encourage and support organizations and schools to bring pickleball to their communities. By equipping these groups with the necessary tools and resources, we’re making strides toward our mission of growing the game and fostering a love for pickleball in every corner of the country.” – (Brenda Puga)

Next Steps for Future Applications

The grant program’s success has encouraged USA Pickleball to plan a second round of applications. The next opportunity to apply will open on July 8 and close on August 5, with recipients announced on September 9. Applicants must be members of USA Pickleball and located in the U.S. or its territories.

The impact of this program is already being felt, with an estimated 192,286 people potentially benefiting from the resources. The initiative strengthens USA Pickleball’s mission of fostering growth and participation in the sport across the country.
