MTP 2025 March Indoor Tournament: The More Than Pickleball (MTP) 2025 March Indoor Tournament is set to take place from March 21 to March 23 in Buford, Georgia. This USAP-sanctioned event will feature singles, gender doubles, and mixed doubles, with a $1,000 Moneyball prize at stake.
Hosted at the air-conditioned More Than Pickleball facility, the tournament offers cushioned courts and a competitive format for players of all skill levels. Registration opens on February 20, 2025, and closes on March 18, with an early-bird fee of $35 until March 8, after which it increases to $45. Additional fees apply for singles brackets and the Moneyball event.
Tournament Schedule and Format
The competition will be spread over three days:
- Friday, March 21 – Singles brackets start at 6:00 PM.
- Saturday, March 22 – Gender doubles events.
- Sunday, March 23 – Mixed doubles and the $1,000 Moneyball event, beginning at 4:00 PM.
Most brackets will follow a round-robin format leading to a single-elimination medal round. However, some larger brackets and singles matches may use a double-elimination format. The tournament director reserves the right to adjust brackets or formats based on participation.
Registration and Policies
To compete, both team members must complete registration, agree to the tournament waiver, and pay the necessary fees. Discount codes are available for active MTP members.
Participants should arrive at least 30 minutes before their match to allow for check-in and warm-up. Competition courts will be available for warm-ups 20 minutes before the start of each event.
Brackets may be adjusted based on registration numbers, and players could be moved to different skill levels at the discretion of the tournament director.
No refunds will be given for bracket reassignments. Players can request refunds until noon on March 17, 2025, minus service fees, but no refunds will be issued after that date.
Prize Money and Tournament Balls
The Moneyball event features a $1,000 prize for the winning team, provided at least 20 teams register. If fewer teams participate, the prize amount may be reduced.
The official tournament balls will be the Vulcan VPro for 4.0+ brackets and Moneyball, while all other brackets will use the Selkirk S1 Pro.
Venue and Parking
More Than Pickleball is located at 3230 Woodward Crossing Blvd in Buford, Georgia. The facility offers over 200 free parking spots for attendees.
