Tournament Format and Bracket Rules
The tournament will follow a round robin format. Games will be played to either 15 points or 11 points, depending on the number of teams in a bracket. All games must be won by 2 points.
-
Brackets with 3 or 4 teams: Double round robin to 15 points
-
Brackets with 5 teams: Single round robin to 15 points
-
Brackets with 6, 7, or 8 teams: Single round robin to 11 points
Brackets are set first by skill level (e.g., 2.5, 3.0) and then by age group (e.g., 50–54, 55–59). A minimum of three and a maximum of eight teams are allowed per bracket.
In cases where there are not enough teams in a group, the Tournament Director may merge brackets or adjust the format. Format changes may also occur due to weather delays.
Qualifying Details for Future Games
The year 2026 will be a qualifying year for the 2027 National Senior Games. Medals in 2026 will be awarded based on combined brackets. However, qualifying for the 2027 Games will still be determined by placement in five-year age groups.
For example:
-
Two teams in the 60–64 group may earn gold and silver.
-
A team from the 50–54 group may earn bronze.
-
Even teams that don’t win medals could still qualify for the 2027 Games if they rank in the top four within their age group.
“All players who qualify for the 2025 Nationals based upon their five year age group will receive written notice to that effect.”
Additional Information
Players will receive a souvenir tournament T-shirt as part of the registration fee. They may also add events like mixed doubles for an additional cost.
“This is a USA Pickleball sanctioned tournament. Within ten days of the tournament’s completion, player scores will be sent to USA Pickleball for adjustments to player ratings. However, the scores will not be sent to any other organization.”
Each participant agrees to the risks of weather delays or cancellations, as there are no rescheduling dates.

This tournament gives senior athletes in New Hampshire a chance to compete at a high level and potentially qualify for future national games.
