Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships Registration Begins August 21

Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships: USA Pickleball, the governing body for the sport in the United States, has announced that registration for the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships will open on August 21 at 8 a.m. PST. The tournament is set to take place from November 9-17 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona.

Venue and Experience

Returning to the Sonoran Desert for its sixteenth appearance, the USA Pickleball Nationals will be held at a state-of-the-art venue. This marks a return to the area after previous events in Indian Wells, California; Buckeye, Arizona; and Dallas. Mike Nealy, CEO of USA Pickleball, emphasized the focus on athlete experience:

“We’re excited to offer a state-of-the-art venue, with each match officiated, free practice facilities, and a live stream on every court. Additionally, we’re offering several match viewing opportunities and unique player activations through the support of our generous partners.”

Registration Details

Gold medalists from the USA Pickleball Golden Ticket Tournament and 70+ bracket-qualified players will enjoy early registration from August 21 at 8 a.m. PST through August 25 at 8 p.m. PST. Silver and bronze medalists will have their registration window from August 28 at 8 a.m. PST through September 1 at 8 p.m. PST. Open registration for remaining spots will be available via lottery from September 4 at 8 a.m. PST through September 8 at 8 p.m. PST.

Professional, Junior, and adaptive/wheelchair players can register from September 9 at 8 a.m. PST through September 30 at 8 p.m. PST. Due to limited registration spots, athletes are encouraged to register promptly to secure their place. Players who register outside their designated period will be entered into a lottery and notified of their status in September.

Athlete and Spectator Experience

Registrants will receive a premium pickleball gift, an aluminum bag tag, a USA Pickleball Nationals commemorative pin, and special partner giveaways. The event promises a rich experience for athletes and spectators, including ample viewing opportunities, engaging player events, free practice courts, diverse food and beverage options, and an all-player hospitality lounge.

Spectator tickets will go on sale in early fall. The championships will feature amateur divisions from Junior to 80+ and adaptive events. USA Pickleball members secured their spots by competing in a Golden Ticket qualifying event.
