NH Lakes Region Pickleball Tournament: The 2024 NH Lakes Region Pickleball Tournament, set to take place from September 5 to September 8, 2024, is a significant event on the pickleball calendar. This USA Pickleball Sanctioned Tournament will see all results reported to USA Pickleball. The matches will feature referees from USA Pickleball, with Joseph L. Santoro serving as the head referee. Santoro, a USA Pickleball Certified Referee and the Referee Training Coordinator for New England, will oversee the proceedings.
Championship Qualifier and Medals
This year’s tournament also doubles as a qualifier for the World Pickleball State Championship. Medalists will benefit from discounted registration fees for the National State Championships in Dallas, TX, this November. Gold Medalists will enjoy a 100% discount, Silver Medalists a 50% discount, and Bronze Medalists a 33% discount on their registration fees.
NH Lakes Region Pickleball Tournament Schedule
The event will be hosted at Foss Field in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, utilizing 20 courts. The schedule is as follows:
- Friday, September 6: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Mini-Singles, Women’s Mini-Singles
- Saturday, September 7: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles
- Sunday, September 8: Mixed Doubles
Participants should note that registration is limited to the first 350 players who fully pay their fees. Brackets will be determined by skill level and age, and all games will follow a round-robin format. The Tournament Director reserves the right to merge brackets and adjust the format as needed, particularly in response to adverse weather conditions.
Additional Features and Registration Notes
Players will have the opportunity to attend pickleball lessons with Clare Grabher, a Skill Level 5.0 National Award winner, on Thursday, September 5. Classes are scheduled as follows:
- 9:00 AM for Skill Level 2.5/3.0
- 11:15 AM for Skill Level 3.5/4.0
- 1:30 PM for Skill Level 3.5/4.0
Each class will be limited to four students. The registration fee includes a souvenir tournament t-shirt. Additional individual events can be added for a separate fee.

Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, known as the oldest summer resort community in the U.S., is conveniently located within a two-hour drive of major airports. Players are advised to bring their chairs, equipment, and food. With a no-refund policy, registrants must be aware that adverse weather could impact the schedule. Players wishing to withdraw must do so by August 24, 2024, to receive a refund of up to $45. The venue, Foss Field, features 20 asphalt courts and is equipped with portable nets.
