Tournament Format and Skill Levels
The Brownwood Pickleball Classic features a variety of events tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Thursday, October 3: Senior Men’s & Senior Women’s Doubles (50+, 60+, 70+, 80+).
- Friday, October 4: Senior Mixed Doubles (50+, 60+, 70+, 80+).
- Saturday, October 5: Men’s & Women’s Doubles (8+, 19+, 35+), Doubles Scramble (8+, 19+, 35+).
- Sunday, October 6: Mixed Doubles & Skinny Singles (8+, 19+, 35+).
- Skill Levels:2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0.

- Seniors (Thursday/Friday): 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+
- All Ages (Saturday/Sunday): 8+, 19+, 35+
Registration Details
- Extended Early Registration: August 8-15 ($50)
- Regular Registration: $50 (Deadline: September 19, 2024)
- Post-Registration: $65 (Available September 20-26, 2024)
- Event Fee: $15 per event
Players will receive a free T-shirt with registration if their size is entered by September 19th.
Match Format
The tournament follows a round-robin format with the top teams advancing to playoffs for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals. Specific match structures are determined by the number of teams in each bracket.
- Non-Pool Play:
- Brackets of 3: Double Round Robin, games to 15, win by 2
- Brackets of 4: Round Robin, best 2 of 3 games to 11, win by 2, or one game to 15, win by 2
- Brackets of 5-7: Round Robin, games to 15, win by 2
- Pool Play: For events with 8 or more players or teams, the event may split into pools with the top seeds advancing to the Single Elimination playoffs.
Refund Policy
Refunds are available up to two weeks before the registration closing date, with a $15 processing fee. No refunds will be given for weather-related cancellations, but efforts will be made to reschedule matches within the tournament dates.
