Pickleball Club Fall Challenge: The Club at The Township in Ridgeland, Mississippi, will host the inaugural Fall Club Challenge from October 4th to 6th, 2024. This USAP Sanctioned tournament is set to become a staple in the pickleball community, featuring a no-referee format and adhering to USAP regulations. Participants must hold a USAP membership, and all paddles used must be approved for USAP-sanctioned play.
Match Format and Schedule
Matches will follow a Round Robin format, with the option of 2 out of 3 games to 11 or 1 game to 15, depending on bracket size. The tournament schedule is as follows:
- Friday, October 4th, 1:00 PM: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles
- Saturday, October 5th, 9:00 AM: Women’s Doubles, Men’s Doubles
- Sunday, October 6th, 9:00 AM: Mixed Doubles
A highlight of the weekend is the Players Party on Saturday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This event features dinner, music, and social play, with a $15 charge for players and guests.
Registration and Fees
The registration fee covers the first event, with a $10 charge for each additional event. Ensure that both partners are registered and paid by the end of the registration period. Registration details are:
- Early Registration (May 17 – June 16, 2024): $35 (plus events)
- Normal Registration (June 17 – September 2, 2024): $45 (plus events)
- Late Registration (September 3 – 8:00 AM, September 29, 2024): $55 (plus events)
Teams must compete at the skill level of the higher-rated player and the age of the younger player. Self-rated players should inform the tournament directors, who have the final say on ratings. Directors also reserve the right to adjust brackets as needed.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after September 15, 2024. Withdrawals before this date will receive a refund minus a $10 fee, excluding the PB service fee. In the event of inclement weather, the tournament will attempt to play all brackets, though some may be shortened. No refunds will be given for Saturday night Players Party tickets after September 15th.
