Andrew Dayton Privett was born in Fallston, Maryland, United States. He attended the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, where he played four seasons of varsity soccer. During his time at McDonogh, he contributed to the team’s success, helping them secure MIAA championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018. His performance on the field earned him several accolades, including second team All-State and first team All-Metro and All-MIAA honors during the 2017 season.
In the 2018 season, Andrew Privett was recognized as the first team All-State, All-MIAA, and All-Metro Boys Soccer Player of the Year. He also earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches high school All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team and All-America Team.
