Chance Wenglewski was born on April 9, 1997, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Union High School in Tulsa, where he played football. After high school, Wenglewski continued his education at Lindenwood University, where he became a member of the Lindenwood Lions men’s rugby team. His time at Lindenwood was instrumental in developing his skills in rugby and preparing him for a professional career.

Path to Rugby

Wenglewski’s rugby journey began during his time at Lindenwood University, where he played for the collegiate rugby team from approximately 2015 to 2019. He was first named to the United States national under-20 rugby union team (Junior All-Americans) ahead of two qualification matches for the 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy against Canada. Wenglewski played for the Junior All-Americans in the tournament held in Harare, Zimbabwe, and also participated in qualification matches for the 2017 World Rugby Under 20 Trophy.
