Chardonnay Curran was born in ʻEwa Beach, Hawaii, United States. Growing up in Hawaii, she developed a passion for soccer at a young age, participating in local leagues and youth clubs. Curran’s early exposure to the sport laid the foundation for her future career as a professional soccer player. She attended the University of Oregon, where she honed her skills and became a standout player for the Oregon Ducks.

Curran began her youth career with Hawaii Rush, where she showcased her talent and dedication to the sport. Chardonnay Curran was selected 17th overall in the 2022 NWSL Draft by the Kansas City Current. Over the course of two seasons with the Current, she made a total of 30 appearances and scored her first professional goal in an international friendly against CF Monterrey. Her contributions to the team were significant, but she was waived at the end of the 2023 season.

Breakthrough (2024-2025)

In 2024, Curran’s playing rights were acquired by the Chicago Red Stars, which later became known as Chicago Stars FC. She made 17 league appearances during her time with the club before departing on July 29, 2025, through a mutual contract termination. Following this, Curran signed with Rio Ave FC on August 20, 2025, marking a new chapter in her career as she joined the top women’s professional league in Portugal.
