Early Life and Background

Courtney Petersen was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and grew up in Canton, Michigan. She began playing youth soccer as a midfielder for Michigan Hawks ECNL, where she was recognized for her talent, being voted to numerous ECNL Top-11 squads. In 2014, Petersen earned the title of NSCAA Youth All-American, showcasing her skills at a young age.
