Courtney Lynn Petersen (born October 28, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Racing Louisville FC of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). She played college soccer for the Virginia Cavaliers and was selected by the Orlando Pride in the first round of the 2020 NWSL draft.

Courtney Petersen was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and grew up in Canton, Michigan. She began playing youth soccer as a midfielder for Michigan Hawks ECNL, where she was recognized for her talent, being voted to numerous ECNL Top-11 squads.
