Early Life and Background

Emeri Adames was raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended her first two years of high school at Life High School Waxahachie, where she set a school record with 47 goals in one season in 2021 as a freshman. In addition to soccer, she competed in cross country and track during her time there. Afterward, she transferred to the University of Texas at Austin High School. Adames played club soccer for the Dallas Texans Soccer Club and later for Solar Soccer Club, earning ECNL All-American honors from 2021 to 2023.

Adames began her soccer journey at a young age, training with the United States youth national team starting at the under-14 level. She had initially committed to play college soccer at the University of North Carolina but opted to turn professional. Adames made her professional debut on March 17, 2024, coming on in the last minutes of the season-opening 1–0 win against the Washington Spirit.

Breakthrough (2024)

Adames quickly made her mark in the league, scoring her first professional goal on May 25, 2024, just before full time in a 3–2 away loss to the Washington Spirit. On August 25, 2024, she created an own goal in stoppage time that led to a 1–0 win against the North Carolina Courage.
