Erick All Jr. Bio

Erick All Jr. is an American professional football tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines and the Iowa Hawkeyes and was selected by the Bengals in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft. Known for his impressive height and athleticism, All has quickly made a name for himself in the competitive world of professional football.

Early Life and Background

Erick All Jr. was born on September 13, 2000, in Hamilton, Ohio. His early life was marked by a dramatic event when he was just five months old; he was trapped in a playpen during a house fire in Richmond, Indiana. Firefighter Tom Broyles rescued him from the smoke-filled room, and with the help of EMT medic Shawn Phenis, All was revived after not breathing for a brief period. This life-altering experience would later be commemorated when his family invited Broyles to a Michigan football game, where the two met and embraced. All attended Fairfield High School in Fairfield, Ohio, where he began to showcase his talent in football. As a senior, he caught 30 passes for 465 yards and four touchdowns, earning recognition as a three-star prospect and ranking as the No. 10 tight end in the Class of 2019.

Path to American Football

All’s football journey began in high school, where he developed his skills and gained attention from college scouts. He verbally committed to play for the University of Michigan in the summer of 2018 and signed his letter of intent in December of that year. Upon enrolling early at Michigan, All impressed coaches with his performance during spring practice, setting the stage for his collegiate career. During his freshman year in 2019, he appeared in 11 games, contributing as both a tight end and on special teams. His sophomore season in 2020 saw him play in all six games, where he caught 12 passes for 82 yards. By his junior year in 2021, All had established himself as a key player, catching 34 passes for 374 yards and two touchdowns. Notably, he had a standout performance against Michigan State, where he caught 10 passes for 98 yards. In a critical game against Penn State, he caught the game-winning touchdown pass despite battling a high ankle sprain. However, his 2022 season was cut short due to a back injury that required surgery, leading him to enter the NCAA transfer portal on December 5, 2022.

Erick All Jr. Career

Early Career (2019–2022)

After transferring to the University of Iowa in December 2022, All continued to develop his skills as a tight end. During his time at Iowa, he recorded 21 receptions for 299 yards and three touchdowns. Unfortunately, his season was marred by injury, as he was diagnosed with a torn ACL on October 17, 2023, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.

Breakthrough (2024–Present)

All was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 115th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft. He made his professional debut in the 2024 season, playing in nine games and logging 20 receptions for 158 yards. However, his rookie campaign was cut short when he suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 9, leading to his placement on injured reserve on November 5, 2024. Despite the setback, All’s potential remains evident as he continues to recover and prepare for future seasons.
