Early Life and Background

Jonathan Gómez was born in North Richland Hills, Texas, United States. He joined the FC Dallas academy in 2016 at the age of 12, where he began his soccer journey. Starting as a left winger, he transitioned to playing fullback during his three years with the academy. This formative experience laid the groundwork for his future in professional soccer.

Path to Soccer

After three years with the FC Dallas academy, Jonathan Gómez signed an amateur contract with FC Dallas’s reserve side, North Texas SC, in USL League One at the age of 15. During his time with North Texas, he made eight league appearances and contributed two assists, helping the team secure the title in the 2019 USL League One season.

Jonathan Gómez began his professional career with North Texas SC in 2019. He then signed with Louisville City FC on March 5, 2020, where he made a significant impact by appearing in 36 matches and scoring two goals. Breakthrough (2022-2024)

In September 2021, Gómez transferred to Real Sociedad, signing a contract until 2025 and initially playing for Real Sociedad B in Segunda División. He made his La Liga matchday squad debut on March 2, 2022. On August 11, 2023, he joined Mirandés on a season-long loan deal, further developing his skills in a competitive environment. In August 2024, Gómez signed with PAOK on a three-year contract, marking a new chapter in his career. He made his debut for PAOK on October 6, 2024, in a match against Levadiakos.
