Kelli Elizabeth Hubly (born August 9, 1994) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). During her first eight professional seasons with Portland Thorns FC, she won the 2017 and 2022 NWSL Championships, the 2021 NWSL Shield, and other awards.
Early Life and Background
Kelli Hubly was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. She attended Elk Grove High School, where she began to develop her skills in soccer. Growing up, she played for the club Sockers F.C. in Chicago, winning the Illinois Cup Championships in 2010 and 2011, as well as the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Championship in 2011. Her early exposure to competitive soccer laid the groundwork for her future career. Hubly continued her education and soccer journey at the University of Kentucky, where she played for the Kentucky Wildcats from 2012 to 2014.
