Lee Stecklein Bio
Lee Ethel Stecklein (born April 23, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Minnesota Frost of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) and a member of the United States women’s national ice hockey team. Standing 6 feet 0 inches tall and shooting left, she is widely regarded as one of the top defensemen of her generation. Stecklein first represented the United States at the 2011 IIHF World Women’s U18 Championship and has since built a résumé that includes Olympic medals, World Championship titles, NCAA championships, and league championships on both sides of the professional women’s hockey landscape.

Lee Stecklein was born in Roseville, Minnesota, to Linda and Robb Stecklein, and was raised alongside her brother Ross and sister Jill. Her mother played soccer for the University of Wisconsin from 1981 to 1984, while her brother Ross later played ice hockey at St. John’s University.
