Logan Allen was born on September 5, 1998, in Deltona, Florida. He attended University High School in Orange City, Florida, where he excelled in baseball. During his high school career, Allen was recognized as The Daytona Beach News-Journal’s Player of the Year for three consecutive seasons. He also earned the title of Florida Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year and Florida Mr. Baseball in his senior year. In a remarkable final high school start, Allen threw a no-hitter, leading his team to the state championship game.

Path to Baseball

After high school, Logan Allen was selected in the 16th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Baltimore Orioles but chose not to sign. Instead, he attended Florida International University (FIU), where he played college baseball for the FIU Panthers as both a pitcher and a first baseman. In 2018, he was named a Freshman All-American by multiple organizations and received second team All-Conference USA honors. His performance included a 5–5 record with a 3.89 earned run average and 85 strikeouts in 74 innings pitched, along with a batting average of .309. Logan Allen was selected in the second round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians. His performance led to a promotion to the Double-A Akron RubberDucks, where he maintained a 2.85 earned run average with 76 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched. In 2022, Allen returned to Akron before being promoted to the Triple-A Columbus Clippers after a successful start to the season.
