Logan Tyler Webb was born on November 18, 1996, in Rocklin, California. He attended Rocklin High School in Rocklin, California, where he played as a pitcher for the baseball team. During his senior year, he achieved a remarkable 0.49 earned run average (ERA) and struck out 73 batters in 57 and two-thirds innings pitched, earning accolades such as Sacramento Bee All-Metro and Cal-Hi Sports All-State honors. Path to Baseball
The San Francisco Giants selected Webb in the fourth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. He signed for a signing bonus of $600,000, which was above the designated amount for his draft position. Webb made his professional debut with the Arizona League Giants, pitching four innings at just 17 years of age. He played the 2015 season with the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, compiling a 3–6 record with a 4.92 ERA in 14 starts. In 2016, he underwent Tommy John surgery, which sidelined him for a significant period.
