Nicolas Brown was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where he began his journey in soccer at a young age. He attended McDonogh School, where he excelled in soccer, becoming a two-time USYSA National Champion and MVP. His performance in high school soccer earned him the USYSA National Championships Golden Boot in 2015, highlighting his scoring ability. In addition to his high school achievements, Brown played club soccer with Baltimore Celtic and spent a year with the D.C. United academy, further honing his skills before moving on to collegiate soccer.

In 2016, Brown began his collegiate career at Loyola University Maryland, where he played for the Loyola Greyhounds.
