Paetyn Levis was born in Rogers, Minnesota, where she was raised in a supportive family. She is the daughter of Charlie and Tarra Levis. Growing up in a sports-oriented environment, Paetyn was exposed to various athletic activities from a young age. She attended Rogers High School, where she excelled as a three-sport athlete, participating in golf, ice hockey, and tennis. During her high school career, Levis played ice hockey for four years and served as team captain for her final three years. She finished her high school career as the all-time leading scorer for Rogers High School, amassing an impressive total of 139 goals and 58 assists for 197 points. In addition to her accomplishments in ice hockey, she contributed to her golf team, helping them achieve their first state tournament appearance in school history and earning recognition as a three-time all-conference honoree.

Path to Hockey

Paetyn Levis committed to play college ice hockey at Ohio State on October 18, 2016. Her collegiate career began during the 2018–19 season, where she made her debut as a freshman, recording three goals and three assists in 34 games. Over the following seasons, her performance continued to improve. In her sophomore year, she recorded two goals and ten assists in 38 games. The 2020–21 season was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but she still managed to score five goals and six assists in 20 games. In her senior year during the 2021–22 season, Levis had a breakout performance, recording 24 goals and 29 assists in 38 games. She led her team in goals and ranked second in total points with 53. Notably, on February 25, 2022, she scored four goals in a single game against St. Cloud State, tying a program record. Her contributions were pivotal in leading the Buckeyes to their first NCAA women’s ice hockey tournament championship in 2022, and she was honored as the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Levis concluded her collegiate career with a total of 55 goals and 67 assists in 171 games.

Early Career (2018–2022)

Paetyn Levis began her professional journey after an impressive college career at Ohio State. Following her graduation, she signed a two-year contract with the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) on June 26, 2023. However, the PHF ceased operations shortly after, preventing her from playing any games for the Whitecaps.

Breakthrough (2023–Present)

On September 18, 2023, Levis was drafted in the tenth round, 57th overall, by PWHL New York in the 2023 PWHL Draft. She signed a one-year contract with the New York Sirens on November 8, 2023. During the 2023–24 season, she recorded three assists in 24 games, marking the beginning of her professional career in the PWHL. Following a successful pre-season mini camp in November 2024, Levis signed a three-year contract extension with the New York Sirens, solidifying her place on the team for the upcoming seasons.
