Early Life and Background

Richard Stromberg was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he attended Union High School. During his time at Union, he played as a two-way lineman and was part of a team that achieved an impressive 11–2 record, winning the state championship during his sophomore year. As a junior, the team maintained a strong performance with a 12–1 record, ultimately losing in the division championship. In his senior year, Stromberg earned the title of Division 6AI-2 Offensive Lineman of the Year, contributing to a team that finished with a 9–3 record. His outstanding performance as a high school athlete led him to be recognized as a four-star recruit, ranking him as the fifth-best center nationally and the fourth-best player overall from Oklahoma. Initially, he committed to play college football at the University of Tulsa but later switched to the University of Arkansas.
